Bucknell University has an immediate opening for a full-time Custodian.

Position Details

• Title: Custodian
• Type: Full-time
• Hours: 40 per week

Location & Schedule

• On-campus
• Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; may include weekends and special events; position classified as essential services, may be required to work when campus is closed.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning/Safety (75%): Maintain interior and exterior surfaces, perform safety inspections, adhere to OSHA standards, use PPE, and follow safety policies.
• General Labor (15%): Campus maintenance tasks such as weeding, mulching, trash collection, snow shoveling, pressure washing.
• Moving/Event Set-up (10%): Assist with special setups, furniture moves, and collaborate with campus partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and use good judgment

Preferred Skills

• Experience in custodial work, operating floor machines or shampooers

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally, and work on ladders or elevated platforms with safety equipment.
