Job summary

Juniata College is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas. Duties include snow removal, equipment maintenance, and general custodial work. Candidates should have custodial experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid PA driver's license. The position requires physical capability to lift 40lbs and work on ladders. The pay rate is $17.28/hour with additional shifts available for a higher rate.

Job description

Job Title: Custodian

Pay Rate: $17.28/hour

Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri 5a-1p and Wed-Sun 7a-3p (extra $0.10/hr).

Key Responsibilities:

• Under general supervision, performs necessary duties to keep assigned buildings and/or areas in clean, neat and orderly condition.
• Performs various other activities as assigned.
• Clears snow and ice from, but not limited to, stairs, walks, driveways and College roads either manually or using motorized equipment.
• Performs necessary repairs and routine and planned maintenance on custodial equipment.

Position Qualifications:

Supervision Required/Given: Oral and/or written instructions received from designated supervisor. Employees in this classification have no supervisory duties.
