Primary Purpose:

Qualifications:

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Ability to safely utilize cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

• Two years of related work experience.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Model HCDE and Head Start's mission, vision, and values.
• Implement safety practices according to department policies, Head Start standards, Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards, and other regulations.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor facilities in a clean and operational condition.
• Maintain sanitation and health standards when cleaning sinks, surfaces, floors, and toilets.
• Properly dispose of waste, bodily fluids, and contaminants.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance and safety supplies.
• Keep health and safety documentation, including checklists and MSDS.
• Monitor the facility for hazards and report repairs or hazards.
• Assist with meal preparation, distribution, and documentation as needed.
• Assist in supervising children when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
