Job Description

Position Details

• Title: Custodian
• Type: Salary $30,312.92 / Non Exempt
• Hours: Full-time
• Mission: Follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds.
• Reports to: Campus Principal/Administrator
• Employment: At-will

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED (may be waived with board approval).
• Knowledge of cleaning, maintenance, safety procedures, minor repair techniques, and operation of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and handle cleaning supplies properly.

Job Duties

• Cleaning various areas including floors, windows, restrooms, and furniture.
• Maintain grounds and perform minor repairs.
• Assist with setup for school events and lunchroom arrangements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and regulate climate control systems.
• Ensure safety and security of the building, including opening and closing procedures and safety inspections.

Working Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, and outdoor work.
• Exposure to temperatures, dust, and chemicals.
