Job summary

Associated Staffing Inc. seeks a reliable Custodian for two elementary schools in Hastings, Nebraska. You’ll maintain a clean, welcoming environment for students and staff, and support after-hours events as needed.

This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position offering steady, year-round work with competitive benefits. Pay ranges from $15.75 to $16.75 per hour, with 2nd shift Monday–Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, 40 hours per week, 12-month commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, crawl and kneel throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
• Empty trash and pencil sharpeners; dust and clean boards.
• Perform general custodial duties and routine upkeep.
• Open building for events and ensure security at day end.

What You ll Do:

As a Custodian, you ll help maintain two elementary schools and create a clean, welcoming environment for students and staff.

Duties include:

• Sweeping and vacuuming floors
• Cleaning restrooms
• Emptying trash and pencil sharpeners
• Dusting and cleaning blackboards
• Performing general custodial and cleaning duties
• Opening the building for sporting events, meetings and other functions as needed
• Making sure the building is secure at the end of the day
