Job Description

At Ephrata Area School District, every employee plays a vital role in shaping students' lives. We are seeking full-time 2nd shift Custodians to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment across our campuses. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, and other areas; minor maintenance; event setup; unlocking/locking buildings; snow removal; and assisting during weather emergencies and summer schedules.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 2nd shift. Hours may vary seasonally. This position offers shift differentials and full benefits, including paid time off, medical and dental insurance, and financial benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Physical ability to bend, lift up to 80 pounds, perform repetitive motions, and work in various physical environments
• Ability to work flexible hours, including after hours and during inclement weather
• Criminal background checks (Act 34, Act 114, Act 151) within the last 12 months
• Pre-employment drug test, physical, and TB test

Work Environment & Expectations

• Exposure to physical hazards, chemicals, and industrial cleaners
• Proper dress code adherence
• Use of machinery and equipment such as scrubbers, vacuums, buffers, and power tools
• Punctuality, professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to policies
