Job Function

1. Keep buildings clean and in an orderly condition.
2. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish/trash.
3. Perform routine maintenance activities, notify management of repairs, and clean debris/water from sidewalks.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
• Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor building security and safety, including locking doors after hours and checking electrical appliances for hazards.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents or acids.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Notify managers of major repairs or system additions.
• Requisition supplies and equipment.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Operate lawn mowers and weed eaters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
