The City of Duarte seeks a dedicated Custodian responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety in city facilities. This role involves various cleaning tasks, inspections, and repairs, requiring physical stamina and a valid driver's license. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and relevant experience, with a commitment to serving the community.
Under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, the Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining city facilities to meet or exceed established standards and efficiency.
The Custodian will perform cleaning duties at various parks and facility sites throughout the City, work as a person-on-duty during facility rentals, and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Other duties include working holidays and weekends as assigned.
Availability required: Monday-Friday between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, and some Saturdays between 12:00 pm and 12:00 am.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with desirable qualifications of 2 years of custodial or handyman experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid California driver's license with current insurance, and have a clean driving record.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered qualifying.
