Job summary

The DM Burr Group is seeking a Full Time Custodian for the 2nd shift to support Davison Schools. Work Mon-Fri, 3:30pm–12:00am, with a $16.00/hour wage and a $200 hiring bonus after 90 days.

Responsibilities include cleaning, operating floor equipment, and maintaining facilities to ensure a safe, clean environment for students and staff. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and a demonstrated attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED or technical school certification.
• Must be self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• 0-6 months custodial/janitorial experience using floor scrubbers/buffers.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Read and follow label instructions on cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as auto floor scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors using industrial equipment.
• Empty trash receptacles and stock restrooms.
• Record and document cleaning functions on logs and report to Supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance duties as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as; auto floor scrubbers, burnishing buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• General cleaning furniture, window sills, and walls.
• Dust, wash walls, clean ceilings, and polish light fixtures.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• Clean/stock all restroom, janitorial closet and break rooms.
• Record and document all cleaning functions on appropriate logs and report to Supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance duties as needed.
• Report any major safety item for repair.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
