Job summary

The DM Burr Group in Vestaburg, MI is seeking a Full Time Custodian - 2nd Shift at Vestaburg Schools. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Wage: $15.00/hour.

Position offers a $200 hiring bonus after 90 days, DailyPay, and comprehensive benefits. Education: high school diploma or GED required. Must lift up to 40 lbs and follow instructions with good attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED or technical school certification.
• 0-6 months custodial/janitorial experience using floor scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reads and follows label instructions on cleaning supplies.
• Follows basic verbal and written instructions.
• Pays close attention to detail and works with a team.

Responsibilities

• Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as; auto floor scrubbers, burnishing buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• May remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using cleaning solutions.
• General cleaning of furniture, window sills, and walls.
• Dust, wash walls, clean ceilings, and polish light fixtures.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• Clean/stock all restrooms, janitorial closet and break rooms.
• Record and document all cleaning functions on appropriate logs and report to Supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance duties as needed.
• Report any major safety item for repair.
• Other duties as assigned.
