Job summary

The DM Burr Group seeks a Full Time Floater Custodian to join the Davison School District. This role focuses on cleaning and maintaining facilities with flexibility for 2nd shift hours, Monday through Friday.

A $18.00/hour wage and a $200 hiring bonus after 90 days are offered, with DailyPay available to access pay quickly. Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, performing general cleaning tasks, and recording activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or technical school certification.
• 0-6 months custodial/janitorial experience with floor equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must read and follow label instructions on cleaning supplies.
• Able to follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Use approved cleaning methods and materials for the facility.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment (scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines, vacuums).
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Clean/restock restrooms, janitorial closet and break rooms.
• Record cleaning activities on logs and report to Supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance as needed.
• Report safety items for repair.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Available: Full Time Floater Custodian within the Davison School District

• $200 Hiring Bonus after 90 Days**

Scheduled: Monday through Friday, mostly 2nd shift hours, must have some flexibility.

Wage: $18.00/hour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as; auto floor scrubbers, burnishing buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• General cleaning furniture, window sills, and walls.
• Dust, wash walls, clean ceilings, and polish light fixtures.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• Clean/stock all restroom, janitorial closet and break rooms.
• Record and document all cleaning functions on appropriate logs and report to Supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance duties as needed.
• Report any major safety item for repair.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma, GED or technical school certification
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• 0-6 months custodial/ janitorial experience using floor scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Requires the ability to read and follow label instructions on cleaning supplies
• Ability to follow basic verbal & written instructions.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Must have team aptitude and approach.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Must have valid driver’s license and your own vehicle for transportation
