Job summary

The DM Burr Group is hiring a Full Time Custodian on the 2nd shift at Oxford Schools. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm or 3:00pm–11:30pm, with 1st shift in summer. Wage is $17.25/hour, plus a $200 hiring bonus after 90 days and DailyPay access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical schooling a plus.
• 0-6 months custodial/janitorial experience preferred.
• Must be self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and follow safety instructions.
• Ability to read and follow label instructions on cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Use approved methods and materials to clean and care for assigned facility.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors; empty trash receptacles.
• May remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls and floors using cleaning solutions.
• Clean/stock restrooms, janitorial closet and break rooms.
• Record cleaning functions on logs and report to Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as; auto floor scrubbers, burnishing buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• General cleaning furniture, window sills, and walls.
• Dust, wash walls, clean ceilings, and polish light fixtures.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• Clean/stock all restroom, janitorial closet and break rooms.
• Record and document all cleaning functions on appropriate logs and report to Supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance duties as needed.
• Report any major safety item for repair.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
