• Refills toilet paper, paper towel and soap dispensers; cleans and polishes hardware and fixtures.
• Vacuums and spot-clean rugs; removes and cleans floor mats and entrance runners; maintains storage areas in order.
• Reports safety hazards to supervisor; observes safety standards and practices; lifts objects weighing 30–60 pounds.

Responsibilities:

Cleans and dusts areas such as suites, offices, classrooms,kitchens, living spaces, laboratories, lobbies, museums, lockerrooms, stairways, corridors and elevators. Make beds as required.Dust, mops and wet mops floors. Cleans and polishes furniture andcleans inside windows on floor level. Cleans and maintainsrestrooms and bathrooms. Clean glass, chalkboards, display cases,interior partitions and light fixtures which are reachable from thefloor. Refill toilet paper, paper towel and soap dispensers. Cleanand polish hardware such as doors, woodwork, door handles, pushplates, kick plates, metal handrails and drinking fountains.Vacuums and spot clean rugs. Removes and cleans floor mats andentrance rug runners. Maintains custodial and storage areas in aclean orderly manner. Maintain adequate supply of cleaningequipment, materials and supplies. Use cleaning tools such as mops,brooms, squeegees, cleaning cloths, sponges, pails, brushes, vacuumcleaners, etc. Turn in found articles in accordance with Universitypolicy. Remove waste paper baskets and containers, and empties sameinto trash containers and cleans area after trash has been pickedup. Remove snow, ice and littler from building entrances or sweepsame. Reports all repairs required and safety and fire hazards tobuilding secretary and immediate supervisor. Observe safetystandards and practices. Lift and carry objects of at least 30-60pounds unassisted. Perform related duties as required or assignedwithin job classification.
