Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation in Centennial seeks an energetic Custodian/Janitor to perform regular cleaning and maintenance of district facilities, ensuring buildings are safe, clean, and ready for operations.

You may supervise volunteers and work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior custodial or building maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as custodian, janitor, or building maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of custodial procedures and building systems.
• Familiarity with safe use and storage of industrial cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle customer complaints professionally.

We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to joinour team as Custodian/Janitor. The Custodian/Janitor performs regularand recurring cleaning maintenance of assigned District facilities.This position ensures the building is safe, clean, and ready foroperations. The Custodian/Janitor may provide supervision to communityservice volunteers. The job requires flexible shifts which includeevening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as custodian, janitor, or building maintenanceis preferred.
• Has knowledge of custodial procedures, mechanical and buildingsystems, carpentry work, and the ability to perform minorconstruction and make repairs.
• Has knowledge of safe use, maintenance, and storage of industrialcleaning equipment and appliances.
• Will provide superior customer service and has the ability tohandle customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
