Job summary

ymcastark is seeking a Part-Time Custodial/Maintenance Staff member in Ashland, OH. You will perform cleaning duties, sanitize areas, and assist the Maintenance Director on branch projects.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, comfortable with ladders to 10 feet, and independence to multi-task while following directions. Starting wage is $11.65 per hour, commensurate with experience, with weekday and weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and efficiently multi-task.
• Effective communication and ability to take direction.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Knowledge of addressing emergency cleanups including bathroom leaks, clogged sinks/toilets, spills and bodily fluids.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, power washers.
• Knowledge of thorough cleaning of locker rooms, public areas, wet mop, dust mop, windows, tables and chairs, and organizing supplies.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Must be comfortable with ladder up to 10 feet tall.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas including mopping, dusting, trash removal, window washing, meeting setup, vacuuming, and daily cleaning.
• Assist the Maintenance Director in projects at the branch.
