Job summary

The YMCA of Central Stark County is seeking a Part-Time Custodial/Maintenance Staff member in Uniontown. Starting rate is $11.65 per hour, with responsibilities including cleaning, sanitizing, and basic maintenance tasks.

Available hours include weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. This role requires the ability to work independently, follow procedures, and safely handle cleaning equipment and ladders.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently and efficiently multi-task.
• Effective communication and direction-taking.
• Able to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Knowledge of emergency cleanups including bathroom leaks, clogs, bodily fluids, and spills.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, and power washers.
• Proficient in cleaning locker rooms, public areas, mopping, dusting, windows, and organizing supplies.
• Must lift up to 30 pounds and work on ladders up to 10 feet.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas: mop, dust, trash removal, window washing, meeting setup, vacuuming, and daily cleaning.
• Assist the Maintenance Director with branch projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and efficiently multi-task
• Must be capable of effective communication and taking direction
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Knowledge of how to address emergency cleanups including bathroom leaks, clogged sinks/toilets, and how to properly clean up bodily fluids, as well as spills
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, and power washers
• Knowledge of how to properly and thoroughly clean locker rooms, public areas, wet mop, dust mop, clean windows, wipe tables and chairs, and organize cleaning supplies
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Must be comfortable being on a ladder up to 10 feet tall
