Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Custodial Worker II to provide a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning specified hospital areas, moving supplies, and performing environmental services per department needs.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and custodial experience in a hospital setting, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push 30 pounds. Casual, part-time schedule with weekend rotation.

Custodial Worker II provides a clean and safe environment for patients to receive care and staff to provide care. This position is responsible for:

• Cleaning and servicing all areas of the hospital according to established procedures areas such as Operating Rooms, Labor and Delivery, Cath Lab, Emergency Room, and Burn Unit.
• Moves supplies throughout the hospital and will also move light equipment or furniture occasionally per department set up request.
• Performs a variety of environmental services and cleaning duties to help maintain the hospital in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience: Custodial experience in a hospital-related environment preferred
• Must be able to read, write and follow directions and/or oral instructions in English.
• Physical requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull 30 pounds up to 90 feet.

FTE: 0.0; Casual

Work schedule: 10pm-630am; Required to work every other weekend

Salary Rate: $21.47/hour
