Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a positive and cheerful Custodial Worker II to join our team. This role provides a clean and safe environment for patients and staff to receive care.

You will clean areas including Operating Rooms, Labor and Delivery, Cath Lab, Emergency Room, and Burn Unit, move supplies, and perform environmental services to maintain hospital sanitation.

Shift: 10pm–6:30am; required to work every other weekend. Salary: $21.47/hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial experience in a hospital-related environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and follow directions and/or oral instructions in English.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Push/pull 30 pounds up to 90 feet.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service all hospital areas per procedures (Operating Rooms, Labor and Delivery, Cath Lab, ER, Burn Unit).
• Move supplies throughout the hospital and light equipment or furniture per department setup requests.
• Perform a variety of environmental services and cleaning duties to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Cleaning and servicing all areas of the hospital according to established procedures areas such as Operating Rooms, Labor and Delivery, Cath Lab, Emergency Room, and Burn Unit.
• Moves supplies throughout the hospital and will also move light equipment or furniture occasionally per department set up request.
• Performs a variety of environmental services and cleaning duties to help maintain the hospital in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

FTE: 0.0; Casual

Work schedule: 10pm-630am; Required to work every other weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• Experience: Custodial experience in a hospital-related environment preferred

• Must be able to read, write and follow directions and/or oral instructions in English.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull 30 pounds up to 90 feet.

Salary Rate: $21.47/hour
