Job summary

Laurens County Rest Areas 87 and 88 are seeking a Custodial Leader to support the Site Manager in daily operations and supervise custodial staff. The role requires leading a team to keep rest areas clean, safe, and well-maintained, with weekend coverage as needed.

The ideal candidate has custodial or related experience, some leadership or supervisory background, reliable attendance, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the custodial team to maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained rest areas.
• Assist the Site Manager with daily operations, employee assignments, inspections, supplies, and customer concerns.
• Train and provide direction to custodial employees as needed.
• Step in and perform custodial duties when necessary.
• Assist with staffing and cover shifts when employees call out, especially on weekends, to ensure continuous service.
• Maintain a professional, dependable, and team-oriented work environment.
• Follow all company safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
