Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Considerable experience in custodial work; supervision experience preferred.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license with good driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and schedules the work of custodians in County buildings.
• Provides training on safety and proper use of materials and equipment.
• Monitors work of contracted custodial crews and maintains records of inventory and staff data.
• Coordinates interviewing and hiring of new employees; conducts evaluations.
• Prepares periodic reports for the custodial section and maintains time/attendance records.
• Delivers supplies and supervises crews during emergencies and storms.
