Job summary

HES is seeking a Custodial Supervisor for Motlow Tullahoma to oversee daily custodial operations, schedule tasks, and lead safety initiatives within educational facilities. You will train staff, supervise custodians, and coordinate with management on projects and emergencies.

The role requires at least 1 year of supervisor experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of custodial practices. Educational environment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisor experience in custodial services.
• Demonstrated ability to train staff in safety practices and PPE usage.
• Experience organizing schedules, daily work routines and projects.
• Knowledge of custodial operations, cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to plan major cleaning operations and coordinate with management.

Responsibilities

• Organize, schedule, assign, and perform daily work routines.
• Lead safety initiatives for the assigned work area.
• Train employees on safety and use of PPE.
• Investigate accidents and report causes.
• Provide on-the-job training for new staff.
• Manage equipment and consumables; ensure supply availability.
• Communicate requests and work orders clearly.
• Coordinate building emergencies and after-hours support.
• Supervise custodians daily and inspect work quality.
• Discipline staff when necessary and advise management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
