Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Janitorial Supervisor to oversee daily custodial operations in a secure building.

You will supervise janitorial personnel, coordinate schedules, conduct quality inspections, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations. Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating special cleaning projects, maintaining inventories, and ensuring proper handling of chemicals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two (2) years of directly related janitorial experience with one year of supervision experience.
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Must complete pre-employment requirements including background check, drug screening, and health assessments.
• Demonstrated teamwork with positive relationships across employees, customers, and clients.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and with facility personnel, contractors, and occupants.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all security requirements in a secure facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily janitorial activities.
• Assign work and monitor staff performance to ensure quality.
• Conduct routine inspections of offices, restrooms, and common areas for cleanliness.
• Ensure cleaning services comply with standards, security protocols, and safety regulations.
• Train and mentor janitorial staff on procedures, safety, and customer service.
• Coordinate special cleaning projects and routine floor care.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate replenishment.
• Handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals per SDS and regulations.
• Respond to customer concerns and service requests promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Facility Management, Building Administration, contractors, and security.
• Maintain records of inspections, staff schedules, inventories, training, and performance.
• Report maintenance, safety hazards, and equipment issues to the proper personnel.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and health and safety standards.
• Perform other supervisory duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of commercial custodial operations, sanitation, and infection prevention.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
