Job summary

Challenge Unlimited in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Project Manager (Custodial) to oversee janitorial services at the Richard Bolling Federal Building. You will manage staff and clients, provide training, ensure safety, quality, and contract compliance, and act as the primary liaison with contract management.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of related experience, 1+ year supervisory experience, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or 8+ years of relevant experience).
• Minimum 1+ years janitorial experience and 5+ years supervisory experience; strong written and oral communication.
• Pre-Employment Tests: Word, Excel
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Background checks including criminal and registry checks
• Must have valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive; company travel using personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan with Director of Operations to maximize growth and efficiency; align site with contract needs and budget.
• Lead and oversee the contract; ensure work complies with SOW, policies, laws, safety standards and quality.
• Develop partnerships with contract representatives; maintain clear communication and timely reporting.
• Monitor client needs and coach staff to develop skills and independence.
• Direct supervision of Commissary Supervisors and overall site leadership; manage timekeeping and performance.
