Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of custodial or facilities maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise custodial staff.
• Knowledge of custodial equipment, cleaning agents, and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow and enforce written and verbal instructions.

• Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness, sanitation, and readiness of assigned spaces.
• Maintain custodial schedules and respond to priority or unscheduled service requests.
• Manage custodial supply inventory, equipment usage, and maintenance reporting.
• Ensure proper handling of waste, recycling, and shredding in accordance with IC information protection procedures.
• Serve as a point of contact for custodial-related issues and escalations.
• Immediately report security incidents, safety hazards, or suspicious activity.
• Support emergency response, continuity-of-operations, and special events as directed.

Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services. The Custodial Lead is responsible for overseeing custodial operations within a secure facility. This role combines hands-on custodial duties with team leadership, quality control, and coordination to ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and security. The Custodial Lead plays a critical role in supporting mission readiness by enforcing custodial best practices while adhering to strict security and confidentiality requirements.
