Job summary

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is seeking a Custodial Lead to oversee custodial operations in a secure facility in Virginia. The role combines hands‑on cleaning with team leadership to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security in support of mission readiness.

Required are a high school diploma and at least 4 years of custodial/maintenance experience, plus the ability to lead staff and follow security protocols. Active Top Secret SCI W/ CI Poly clearance is required.

The Custodial Lead is responsible for overseeing custodial operations within a secure facility. This role combines hands‑on custodial duties with team leadership, quality control, and coordination to ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and security. The Custodial Lead plays a critical role in supporting mission readiness by enforcing custodial best practices while adhering to strict security and confidentiality requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform custodial services including cleaning, sanitizing, waste disposal, and special project support as needed
• Assign work, monitor performance, and provide on‑the‑job guidance to custodial staff
• Ensure custodial tasks are completed in compliance with security protocols, safety standards, and facility requirements
• Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness, sanitation, and readiness of assigned spaces
• Maintain custodial schedules and respond to priority or unscheduled service requests
• Manage custodial supply inventory, equipment usage, and maintenance reporting
• Ensure proper handling of waste, recycling, and shredding in accordance with IC information protection procedures
• Serve as a point of contact for custodial‑related issues and elevate concerns as appropriate
• Immediately report security incidents, safety hazards, or suspicious activity
• Support emergency response, continuity‑of‑operations, and special events as directed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of custodial or facilities maintenance experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise custodial staff
• Knowledge of custodial equipment, cleaning agents, and safety procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow and enforce written and verbal instructions
