Job summary

Kamehameha Schools is seeking a Manager, Custodial Operations to lead the Grounds and Custodial department at the Hawaii campus. You will supervise a large team, develop standards, and ensure clean, safe facilities while aligning with campus priorities and events.

The role requires expertise in staff development, budgeting, safety, and operational leadership to deliver high-quality service across the campus. Collaboration with leadership and facilities teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience overseeing a multi-skilled workforce including scheduling and staff utilization.
• Demonstrated leadership with coaching, development and performance feedback.
• Experience supervising with scheduling, evaluations and disciplinary procedures.
• Excellent customer service and strong organizational skills across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• supervise Grounds and Custodial staff including hiring recommendations, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• establish service standards for facilities, review work orders, and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials.
• train staff on safety procedures and proper use of equipment; ensure compliance with regulations.
• manage payroll approvals, time and attendance, and budget adherence for the department.
• coordinate with directors to align operations with campus needs and events.
