SSC Services for Education in Longview, TX seeks a Custodial Director to oversee cleanliness, sanitation, and security of assigned buildings. You will coordinate all janitorial activities and supervise supervisors and hourly staff to ensure customer satisfaction and high-quality standards.

You will assign duties, inspect work, train and discipline staff, maintain equipment, inventory supplies, and communicate directives from managers to the janitorial team.

Qualifications

• One to two years as a Manager in housekeeping or service-related field with high customer contact.
• Strong work ethic and initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates between shifts to ensure task completion.
• Trains workers in janitorial methods and equipment.
• Issues supplies and equipment to workers to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Performs daily inspections and follows through on assignments.
• Cross trains and develops personnel for multiple positions.
• Holds weekly staff reports and inspections.
• Meets with staff weekly to review task completion and future projects.
• Secures building after completion of work.
• Guides completion on projects within budget and timelines.
• Reports budgetary issues.
