Job summary

SSC Services for Education in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Unit Custodial Director to oversee cleanliness, sanitation, and security of assigned buildings. You will coordinate all janitorial staff, supervise supervisors and hourly workers, and ensure customer satisfaction and safety.

You will assign duties, inspect work, handle inventory, train and discipline staff, and communicate directives between managers, occupants, and the crew.

Qualifications

• One to two years as supervisor in housekeeping or service-related field with high customer/client contact.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of budgeting processes and P&L concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services.
• Coordinate and supervise all janitorial staff and supervisors.
• Ensure equipment maintenance, inventory management, and timely supplies.
• Train, discipline, and recommend dismissals of employees.
• Communicate directives between management, occupants, and staff.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a safe, equitable environment.
