Job summary

Alcorn State University seeks a Coordinator of Curriculum & Instructional Design to lead the development and alignment of department curricula and graduate programs. The role involves collaborating with faculty to develop Canvas courses, establish templates, and ensure accessibility and quality across courses.

The position also covers faculty support, professional development, and teaching two graduate courses per semester (6 credits) in the Department of Education, with responsibilities

Qualifications

Earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field.
Three (3) years of college/university teaching experience.
Experience developing or redesigning courses in Canvas or another LMS.
Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, assessment, or academic program development with faculty collaboration.

Responsibilities

Coordinate development, revision, and continuous improvement of curriculum and programs.
Align curriculum, course outcomes, instructional content, and assessments with standards and accreditation activities.
Develop and revise Canvas courses with faculty subject-matter experts.
Establish Canvas templates and standards for organization, accessibility, and quality.
