Overview:

Designs and develops training programs, curricula, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curricula. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Writes and edits outlines, syllabi, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or e-learning courses and self-study programs. Evaluates software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

1. Applies principles of Adult Learning Theory to content design.
2. Partners closely with the learning team to create full-cycle training.
3. Coaches trainers or trains new instructors as needed.
4. Prepares clear and intentional learning objectives.
5. Estimates scope and resource requirements for training requests.
6. Consults SMEs and stakeholders during content development.
7. Supports multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Assists with content/material updates based on team needs and bandwidth.
9. Assists with LMS-related needs and requests.
10. Provides recommendations for new designs or processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred.
2. Experience or certification in training, content management, curriculum, or instructional design.
3. Demonstrates understanding of ADDIE design methodology.
4. Ability to support multiple training projects.
5. Ability to develop materials for virtual or classroom-led training.
6. Familiarity with training software.
7. Ability to assess training needs.
