Job summary

Lynn Camp Elementary School in Corbin, Kentucky is seeking a Curriculum Coach to guide the development and implementation of a rigorous instructional program aimed at moving all students to proficient and distinguished levels.

You will collaborate with teachers across content areas, provide targeted professional development, align curricula to standards, and model evidence-based instructional strategies under the supervision of the principal.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Education.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional teaching experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience as a successful leader in instruction, curriculum, and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with curriculum development, alignment, mapping, and revision.
• Works with teachers in all content areas on skills needed to prepare students to be successful on assessments.
• Assists staff with the use of core content, Common Core Standards, and the adopted curriculum of the school district.
• Provides professional development to teachers during planning, through coteaching, and after school.
• Engages staff in intensive data analysis and results planning and develops strategies designed to move students from Novice/Apprentice to Proficient/Distinguished levels.
• Works collaboratively with other educators to integrate educational initiatives and resources.
• Models a variety of instructional strategies designed to be rigorous and mirror assessment.
• Coaches and models based on research based instructional strategies.
• Ensures district timelines are met specific to the role of Curriculum and Instructional Coach.
• Develops tools for monitoring the effectiveness of instructional programs in the school.
• Performs other duties as assigned within Federal and State guidelines.
• Perform additional duties/tasks and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor and/or Superintendent.
