JOB TITLE: District Literacy Instructional Coach

SUPERVISOR: Assistant Superintendent or designee

Contract: Up to 129 Days – Part Time

Job Summary: Provides leadership and assistance for the development of curriculum and
instructional programs that are aligned with Kentucky’s Academic Standards and the State
Assessment System; provides resources and coaching to instructional staff.

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in education (masters preferred)
• 5 or more years of successful teaching experience
• Prior instructional coaching experience preferred

Experience:

• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction at multiple grade levels
• Strong knowledge of the science of reading instructional resources/curriculum
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, including experience in
  leading/facilitating committees or teams
• Evidence of ability to organize and analyze data (formative, summative, standardized,
• Willingness to collaborate with district- level and school-level staff
• Commitment to and willingness to continue learning in the areas of curriculum,
  assessment, instructional and learning strategies
• Evidence of professional learning and implementation of best practice strategies and/or
  program
