Job summary

Accelerate Education is seeking a Manager of Curriculum Alignments to lead the standards alignment strategy across content development initiatives. This role serves as the SME for state and national standards, ensuring teams align content with correct standards and maintain thorough alignment documentation for school partners and state submissions.

The role requires researching evolving standards, developing crosswalks and alignment reports, and maintaining the standards repository.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Five or more years of curriculum development, instructional design, educational publishing, standards alignment, or curriculum compliance.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying state academic standards.
• Experience developing curriculum maps, standards crosswalks, and alignment documentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience managing multiple curriculum initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on state and national academic standards.
• Research, source, interpret, and maintain current academic standards across all curriculum products.
• Monitor standards revisions, state adoption cycles, and regulatory changes that impact curriculum.
• Analyze standards and identify curriculum gaps requiring instructional remediation.
• Prepare implementation guidance identifying standards that must be addressed by curriculum development teams.
• Develop and maintain curriculum maps, standards crosswalks, alignment matrices, and curriculum documentation.
• Maintain the organization's official repository of academic standards and alignment documentation.
• Produce alignment reports and documentation for school partners, customers, curriculum adoptions, and state approval submissions.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Curriculum Adaptations to ensure development teams receive complete standards requirements before projects begin.
• Validate completed curriculum updates to ensure standards have been fully addressed prior to state submission.
• Support curriculum audits, customer requests, and internal compliance reviews.
• Develop templates, processes, and documentation standards that improve the efficiency and consistency of curriculum alignment efforts.
• Recommend improvements to alignment workflows that reduce development risk and improve organizational readiness for state approvals.
