Job summary

MGT Consulting Group seeks a Lead Curriculum Writer (Curriculum Developer) to design and refine foundational skills curricula and align content with standards. You will collaborate with experts and designers to deliver engaging, inclusive materials for diverse learning environments.

The role requires extensive experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and leadership, with flexible remote work options and a focus on equity and educational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Seven years or more of experience in foundational skills.
• Three years or more years of curriculum development and instructional design experience.
• Two years or more years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and write high-quality foundational curriculum aligned with standards.
• Lead development of instructional planning tools (scope/sequence, pacing guides).
• Lead development of instructional materials including lesson plans and assessments.
• Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across grades and content areas.
• Collaborate with SMEs, editors, and instructional designers to produce engaging content.
• Adapt content for diverse learners including multilingual students.
• Revise content based on internal and client feedback.
• Stay updated with state standards and policy changes in literacy education.
• Lead planning meetings to ensure cohesion and alignment across the project.
• Manage timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
