Job summary

IXL Learning in Raleigh-Durham, NC, is seeking a Curriculum Alignment Specialist focused on mathematics to join our curriculum development team. You will work with contract aligners and our design team to map IXL skills to state standards, textbooks, and assessments.

The role emphasizes leadership of multiple alignment projects, collaboration with production, engineering, and sales teams, and ensuring high-quality alignments across state standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree required.
• 1+ years of experience aligning content to state standards.
• Experience aligning math standards across multiple states.
• Proficient with math content through calculus; knowledge of ELA/science a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make strategic decisions about project priorities and alignment details.
• Help manage a team of contract aligners who create and maintain alignment documents for K-12 math, ELA, science, social studies, and Spanish content.
• Review new skill plans for quality and style; incorporate feedback from team members to ensure high quality alignments.
• Learn to use in-house tools to create and release alignments, including formatting alignment spreadsheets to meet technical requirements.
• Work with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot bugs and fix data formatting errors.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand educator needs and sales objectives in each U.S. state and international territories.
• Drive special alignment projects, including defining scope and executing plans with cross-functional teams.
