Job summary

BGI, LLC in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Squadron Operations Support Specialist (SOSS) for Current Operations to coordinate across shops, publish daily/weekly schedules, prepare briefing materials, and maintain squadron records to ensure safe, timely mission execution.

Responsibilities include serving as the primary Current Ops point of contact, producing brief slides with weather and threat updates, keeping FCIFs and aeronautical charts current, and coordinating range/ops requirements while

Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and government-provided/COTS tools necessary for squadron operations administrative support.
Current security clearance of “Secret” or above.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Current Ops point of contact, coordinating with Training and Scheduling to enable daily execution.
Develop, publish, and maintain daily/weekly brief materials; ensure Daily Flight Brief slides (e.g., weather, threat) are current and verified prior to step.
Ensure flying files/materials are current and available to aircrews (e.g., FCIFs, briefing room materials, aeronautical charts, frequency cards).
Coordinate range and ops requirements (e.g., range control for test/training operations) with affected functions to maximize daily/weekly schedule effectiveness.
Manage electronic data/records to ensure proper filing, accessibility, and security for operations products.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
