Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Kearneysville, WV is seeking a Curing Technician to join a safety‑driven production team. The role involves operating, cleaning, troubleshooting, and performing basic preventive maintenance on curing, cutting, and stacking machinery.

You will report to the Production Supervisor and help sustain high uptime and quality. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of continuous flow manufacturing experience.

Curing Technician
Location – Kearneysville, WV
Pay - $30/hour
Schedule - 6:00pm – 6:00am 2-2-3

About the Role:

Key Technicians schedule and preform regular maintenance, cleaning and repairs as needed to keep the production line up and running efficiently. In this role at ROCKWOOL you are part of a team running the production line to deliver with consistency, the high-quality finished product our customers have come to know and expect. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you safely and effectively operate, clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic preventative maintenance to the machinery in the curing, cutting, and stacking area, focused on continuous improvement and operational uptime.

What We’re Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ continuous flow manufacturing or industrial experience required. Prior experience working in the aggregate, steel, or metal refining industries preferred.
  • Strong safety awareness with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Proven ability to drive KPIs and line performance in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and advanced problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to adapt to and thrive in a continuously changing production environment.

What You’ll Do:
Safety Leadership
  • Serves as a role model for all safety standards and protocols, consistently demonstrating a safety-first mindset and promoting a culture of safe work practices among peers and team members.
Line Performance & KPI Management
  • Actively drives Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and overall line performance, balancing production output with minimum quality standards while maintaining cost-effective operations.
  • Utilizes visual management tools to monitor, track, and communicate line performance metrics in real time.
Continuous Improvement
  • Champions a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, reduce waste, and increase overall production efficiency.
  • Proactively implements improvement initiatives in alignment with operational goals and company objectives.
Adaptability & Problem Solving
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to an ever-changing production environment, maintaining performance and quality standards under dynamic conditions.
  • Applies advanced problem-solving skills to anticipate potential issues before they arise, proactively implementing corrective measures to minimize disruptions and maintain line efficiency.
Communication & Reporting
  • Provides timely and accurate updates to management regarding line performance, operational restrictions, and necessary equipment repairs to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Maintains clear and consistent communication across all levels of the team to support operational transparency.
  • Grow and develop the team by training new hires and sharing knowledge and experience.
Production Scheduling & Data Management
  • Follows established production schedules to meet output targets and customer demand requirements.
  • Accurately records all required production data, operational information, and performance metrics in the central database to ensure data integrity and traceability.
