Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders, delivering fast, friendly service at the curbside Meijer Pickup area. You’ll greet customers, verify items, collect payment, and ensure accuracy from start to finish.

You don’t need to know everything on day one; training is provided. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year in retail or cashier roles are preferred, and candidates must be able to lift and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
