Job summary

Meijer Inc. is looking for a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders accurately and quickly, creating a smooth pickup experience for customers. You’ll greet customers, handle their orders, and help ensure a friendly, efficient carside experience.

You don’t need to know everything on day one—we’ll train you. Requirements include a high school diploma, strong communication, and at least one year in retail or cashier roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous, friendly attitude in person and on the phone.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders during the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
