Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders with speed and accuracy, creating a smooth pickup experience from start to finish. You’ll engage customers with a friendly, helpful attitude and work with the store team to ensure orders are completed correctly.

The role emphasizes strong communication, basic tech skills, and the ability to learn new systems quickly, with a focus on reliability and attention to detail during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable curbside service at the pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous attitude in person and on the phone, responding to questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership across the store.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by collaborating with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders during the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items according to bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
