Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders, turning clicks into ready pickups with speed and accuracy. This role emphasizes courteous, efficient service at the curbside pickup area and close collaboration with store teams.

You will greet customers, verify orders, and maintain a clean curbside area, with the flexibility to assist across tasks as needed. Prior cashier/retail experience is a plus, and physical tasks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• You must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable curbside service at the Meijer Pickup area with accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and leadership across the store.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders during the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items using standard procedures.
• Store and stage orders following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
