• Engage peers to deliver the best checkout experience for customers.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-train talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement and store performance.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team on food safety standards and safe practices.
• Lead activities in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and displays where applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture and diversity.
• Operate a register and handle cash as needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories.
