Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers, including checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed customer service and sales goals and complete trainings.
• Assist training new team members and cross-train high-potential talent to boost productivity.
• Coordinate with leadership on department scheduling to improve engagement, service, sales, and profitability.
• Monitor product rotation and dating to ensure freshness.
• Guide team in food safety standards and safe operation practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays where applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture and DEI values.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed; operate powered equipment as applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to help achieve goals.
• May support Lead capacity in other departments.
