Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed sales and service goals.
• Support training for new team members and cross-training.
• Assist department scheduling to boost engagement and store profitability.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policy adherence.
• Guide team on food safety standards and safety practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays.
• Foster Meijer culture valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment as applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
