Job summary

Walbec Group seeks an Operator to run a curb machine and related construction equipment safely on our projects. Responsibilities include labor when not operating, and adherence to varied hours, including nights and weekends, in diverse weather and dirty environments.

Applicants should have a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, and relevant equipment experience. A Class A CDL is desirable; union membership may be required in some settings.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience operating construction equipment, including curb machines.
• Willing to work nights, early mornings and weekends as needed.
• Able to work in variable weather and dirty/dusty environments.
• Labor when not operating equipment and join the Local Operators Union if required.
• Union membership not required prior to employment; aptitude test may be required.

The Position: We’re looking for an Operator responsible for
operating a Curb Machine along with several other types of construction
equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This equipment may include,
but is not limited to skid steers, backhoes, front-end loaders, dozers,
graders, compactors, and other pieces of equipment. Requirements: Valid
driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. A Class A CDL is
desired but not necessary prior to hire. High School diploma or GED
Equivalent Is Preferred. Punctual And Dependable. Experience Operating
equipment, and the ability to safely and efficiently operate a Curb
Machine desired. Able to work varied hours including nights, early
mornings, and weekends as needed. Be able to tolerate and work in
variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
When not operating equipment, be willing to labor as needed. Member of a
Local Operators Union, or willingness to become a union member are
required. Union membership is not required prior to employment. Our
Human Resources Department is available to assist in that process as
needed. Successfully pass or has passed the Operators Union aptitude
test when required.
