Job summary

The City of Minneapolis Parking and Traffic Division is seeking an Applications Analyst to support internal systems and data infrastructure for a grant-funded curb data project. You will work with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain application software and data platforms across departments and with vendors.

Responsibilities include translating requirements into technical specs, coordinating software releases, and ensuring reliable production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering or closely related field.
• Four years of related experience, including applications software design, development and system integration.
• Equivalency: an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
• Extensive knowledge of programming languages, software analysis capabilities, and government-operated enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement departmental and enterprise IT solutions.
• Translate business requirements into software specifications.
• Troubleshoot database and infrastructure problems with SMEs.
• Coordinate vendor fixes, upgrades, and custom modifications.
• Plan and manage software releases into production with implementation plans.
