Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Schuylkill Haven, PA is seeking Production Operators to join our team as the facility transitions to cottage cheese, sour cream and yogurt production. The role demands adherence to safety, QA standards, GMPs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, wet environment with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and work in a wet environment.
• Flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Continuously drive the facility's culture toward a safety conscious environment.
• Ensure products meet standards and specifications set by QA and Compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement within the department and across the facility.
• Support a team environment within the department and facility.
• Follow GMP, safety policies and company policies.
• Ensure proper product specifications and weight/code checks.
• Maintain floor cleanliness and complete sanitation tasks daily.
• Pass on information to incoming shift and other duties as assigned.
