Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) has immediate job openings for motivated production workers as the facility transitions from a fluid dairy plant to a culture plant producing cottage cheese, sour cream and yogurt. Hourly rate: $27.50-$28.50.

DFA is a dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. Responsibilities include safety, quality, GMP adherence, team collaboration, and supporting continuous improvement across the facility. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and quality standards in daily production.
• Ensure products meet specifications from QA and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement within the department and across the facility.
• Support a team environment within the department and across the facility.
• Follow GMP, safety policies and company policies.
• Perform weight and code checks and keep a clean work area.
• Record information for incoming shifts.
