Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Community Communications Lead to bring our products closer to communities and amplify stories across organic channels. You will shape narratives, develop earned media opportunities, and work with the Culture & Community Engagement team to connect campaigns to broader storytelling.

You’ll collaborate with regional teams, craft long-term narratives, and build relationships with journalists and creators.

Qualifications

Experience leading communications for consumer brands, cultural campaigns or community programs.
Strong editorial taste and storytelling ability across multiple channels.
Ability to build trusted relationships with journalists, creators and communities.

Responsibilities

Be in the room as we shape the narrative and develop earned comms opportunities from the start.
Connect campaigns into a larger overarching narrative for press and creators.
Build relationships with journalists, creators, and cultural voices.
Find stories inside communities and surface authentic voices.
Make participation part of the story and sustain ongoing narrative across channels.
Develop pitches, spokesperson opportunities, and channel content linked to results.
Collaborate with regional teams to localize the shared story.
