Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, history, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of archaeology experience (field surveys, reports, and agency coordination).
  • At least 2 years in environmental consulting or agency settings.
  • Strong knowledge of CEQA, NEPA, and Section 106 compliance.
  • Experience with northern and central California prehistoric and historic archaeology.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) or ability to obtain.

Day in the Life

As a Cultural Resources Project Manager, your day may begin with coordinating field survey logistics, followed by reviewing archaeological findings or preparing technical reports. You’ll collaborate with clients, agencies, and Tribal representatives, mentor team members, and guide projects from proposal through completion. The Cultural Resources Project Manager role blends leadership, technical expertise, and relationship‑building—making every day dynamic and rewarding.

What You’ll Do

Compensation

Salary will be based on qualifications and/or experience, with a robust benefits package. Expected starting pay range of $80,000 to $110,000.
